Alexander Excitement

A friend of mine ask what Joe and I like to do for fun in Tustin. I told him that we were still in that stage of living together where we preferred to stay home. And with all the great Christmas gifts we got, I think this period in our lives will be extended. If you want to see us in the next few months, your gonna have to come over to the Alexander house of fun!

First of all, we are obsessed with Super Mario Bros for the Wii. Seriously. Niether one of us would ever describe ourselves as “gamers.” I am horrible at video games even games that I like, such as Wii Sports and Mario Party, only hold my attention for about half an hour. Joe is slightly more into video games, but not much. But he got me Mario Bros as a Christmas gift and we can’t stop playing. He will not have to come up with any creative date nights until that game is conquered!

Another great Christmas present we got was season 1 and 2 of Ugly Betty. I’m not sure if Joe would like me to broadcast to the world that he is totally into this show, but he is. He watched it last night even though I was dead asleep. But I love it too. Its like they turned Vogue into a telenovella. Fabulouso!

Just in case you missed the ten million facebook posts about Joe’s Christmas present, let me tell you that I got him the best present ever. A kitchenAid stand mixer. This present was good for both of us because it means he got something he has wanted, literally, for like 7 years and it means I won the present contest. We have an unspoken contest every Christmas/birthday/ valentine’s about who gives who the best presents. Joe always always wins, but not this year! Nyways he has already made delicious cookies with it and i’m looking forward to more culinary creations with the KitchenAid. O and he got me a really cool cookbook called “Semi-Homemade Cooking.” It has lots of delicious, easy recipes. Yay for Alexander cooking time.

The Game of Life Twists and Turns. I can’t really explain it, but its amazing. Seriously if you are ever board come over and play it. Its fantastic. Just last night we played it while we were watching Ugly Bettey. Hello fun time!

So between super mario bros, Ugly Betty, cooking, board games  and “cuddling” we are going to be homebodies for a while. But don’t worry, we still go to work, pay our bills, go to church and the get the required amount of fresh air. And come summer time we are going to ditch our electronics and cozy apartment for some hard core camping! But right now we are just going to enjoy our love nest. Besides, our credit cards need a break!
