House of Yogurt

Joe and I got an Entertainment Book for Christmas and, in my opinion, it was one of the best 5 presents we got. Its a great way to try new restaurants and entertainment places that we would otherwise not know about or not have any reason to try. Let me tell you, a 50% off coupon is a great reason to try something new. The only place we’ve tried so far is House of Yogurt. And, actually, Joe didn’t try it because he doesn’t like froyo, so I took Amber. It was delicious. I had Pineapple Tart mixed with pomegranate seeds and mocci. It was crisp and refreshing with a sour bite. We particularly enjoyed the music they had playing. It was a Sirius satellite radio station with a bunch of hits from the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s. I really liked that the atmosphere was more laid back than most yogurt places. I love Cherry on Top, but I’m not always in the mood for a brightly polka dotted room filled with crazy teens and families. House of Yogurt had a more muted color palet and calmer customers.  We also enjoyed talking to the staff. House of Yogurt is located on 17th St in Costa Mesa. I definately suggest checking it out next time your in the mood for a frozen delight.
